So, this is a thing that came in the mail today.
It's hard to capture the mix of emotions that come along with seeing your book in print for the first time. It's finished. I've been calling this book "almost finished" or "nearly done" or "ready soon" for months. But it's not any of those things. It's honest to goodness, I never have to edit this thing again, done. Available on Amazon in the next 3-5 days and on Kindle right now.
There's a lot of relief. Writing a novel is one of my oldest and most enduring ambitions. I imagined feeling joy, elation, triumph, but at this point, it's mostly just a sort of... weary satisfaction. I did it. I knew I could, and so I did, and now it's done.
And then I opened a new Word document and started writing the next.
I'm really proud of this, and I think you should read it. I think you should buy it, share it, borrow it. I wouldn't try to convince you to read it, let alone pay money for it, if I didn't absolutely think it was worth reading.
I'll be doing a full pitch and sales drive once print copies are available on Amazon, but for now, I just wanted to share the feeling of seeing the physical proofs for the first time.
It's been a long journey. Absolutely worth it.
